Description:
The Banking Specialist oversees the company’s financial data and reporting compliance by
maintaining accurate books on accounts payable/receivable, payroll, daily financial entries and
reconciliations. Perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly and quarterly financial
reporting, general ledger journal entries, and record payments and adjustments. They will also
manage the investment portfolio accounts, both monthly and semi-annual payments.
Responsibilities:
Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner, and submit payroll taxes
Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis
Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing,
coding, and processing payments
Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and
revenue recognition
Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work to ensure
compliance with applicable standards
Perform Teller functions when needed
o Process customer transactions
o Cash handling
o Account maintenance
Qualifications:
3-5 years relevant experience working in bank accounting and bookkeeping required
Fiserv bank accounting data processing system required
Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred not required
